CHS has an exciting opportunity in the Information Technology group. We are looking for a Senior Monitoring Systems Engineer. In this role, you will use a variety of tools to monitor the CHS environment, including hardware and applications. You will engage with application development and technical teams to meet enterprise monitoring requirements for ongoing computer operations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be needed.
- Ensure operations flow smoothly and job documentation, including escalation, is well documented and up to date.
- Set up monitoring of hardware and applications within the monitoring applications.
- Provide guidance to a variety of teams to enhance successful business flows.
- Examine changes for completeness and manage the flow according to documentation.
- Provide reporting to ensure management notification of changes and exceptions.
- Act as a point of contact for monitoring, executing resolution according to process and communicating cross functionally to elicit resolution of disruptions and exceptions to process.
- Provide input for enhancements and improvements, recommendations on streamlining processes and identify and improve scheduling workflows and dependencies.
- Works as a mentor to junior members of the team.
- Assist others to resolve complex issues.
- Identify, learn, and implement new tools and processes.
- Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Information technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology Management, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in Information Technology and/or IT Architecture and Engineering to include:
- Experience configuring and administrating monitoring tools
- Analyzing business requirements
- Managing and carrying out complex production change processes, projects, and programs
- Experience working with SolarWinds – Orion
- Dynatrace and/or ServiceNow ITOM
- Highly skilled with PowerShell or other coding knowledge
- Experience automating processes
- ITIL certification
