Job Description

On My Own Independent Living Services is actively hiring caregivers! We offer flexible scheduling for both part time and full-time employment. Our caregivers will be providing direct in-home care, quality supervision and supportive services for adults with developmental disabilities, parents, and the elderly.

No previous experience necessary! We will provide our caregivers with paid, on the job training and support. As a Caregiver, you will serve as a personal attendant and spend at least 80% of your time supervising, feeding, or dressing clients in their homes. Many of our clients receive services from both On My Own and IHSS (In-Home Support Services).

Caregiver Daily Tasks Include:

Supervising clients in personal care (e.g., bathing, showering, grooming, etc.).
Assisting clients in preparing meals.
Overseeing clients performing daily living tasks, which may include the use and monitoring of assistive devices and precautionary equipment, such as Hoyer, bathing rails, ramps, etc., to ensure client’s safety.
Performing limited housekeeping tasks in the client’s personal space.

Minimum Qualifications:

Valid California driver’s license with reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance in employee’s name.
Our caregivers need to have the ability to lift 50 pounds and the strength to push and pull with a force of 50 pounds.
