We are currently hiring for full-time positions. Flexible weekday hours.
$28 - $37 an hour
● Corales de la Tierra Adaptive Skills Trainer Program
Corales de la Tierra offers a clinical program with an emphasis in furthering independence and increasing social skills for individuals with developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking experienced professionals to join our team of Skills Coaches to help our clients build adaptive living skills, boost independence and practice social skills. We encourage community access, building the social network of our clients, assisting clients in obtaining volunteer/paid jobs and working to reduce problematic behaviors.
Objectives of this Role
● Work collaboratively with our team of Skills Coaches and specialists to achieve objectives identified in individualized client programs.
● Assess new clients and design programs regarding their adaptive skills needs, level of functioning and independent living skills objectives.
● Case management and supervision of Skills Coaches as needed.
● Facilitate sessions in collaboration with other Skills Coaches in which clients work toward individual program objectives.
● Promote increased independence, community safety and management of daily tasks with clients.
● Facilitate community access and assist with Corales de la Tierra group activities.
● Attend staff and client team meetings.
Master’s Degree required
● Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, education, ABA, social work or related field.
● Minimum 1 year of experience working with people who have developmental disabilities preferred
Qualifications Preferred
○ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
○ Ability to collaboratively work with Corales staff utilizing a team approach
○ Flexibility regarding client work and scheduling
○ Ability to work with family members, care providers and residential staff
○ Accepting of all sexualities
○ Maintain records of client progress, track behaviors and report writing
○ Model skills and appropriate social interactions to clients
○ Bilingual speakers encouraged to apply
○ Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license in good standing
○ Proficiency in Google Drive, MS Word, Excel and other online platforms
