Day Care Van Driver

KnowledgePoints Learning Academy is seeking qualified candidates to work as van drivers for our school-age child care program operating in the Haverford area. Candidate must be flexible, patient, and comfortable operating a 10 passenger van. A nurturing, positive outlook is essential. Students range from Kindergarten through 5th grade. We provide transportation for students between our facility and the various elementary schools using established routes at specific times. Shifts for drivers may include our before-care program (8:00-9:00am) and after-care program (3:00-4:00pm), Mondays-Fridays. Drivers are paid a flat fee for each shift ($25 / shift).

Job duties include directly supervising children, working with schools and KnowledgePoints staff to ensure all assigned students are properly accounted for, assisting children on and off the van, transporting students and staff in a safe and timely fashion, obeying all traffic laws and safety guidelines, performing routine cleaning of the vans in use, and updating maintenance logs. All staff will work to ensure the health and safety of students and staff by following established procedures including assisting with cleaning and disinfecting practices.

Criminal and child abuse clearances required. Applicants must be a high school graduate with a valid Driver’s license, a clean driving record, and be able to demonstrate their ability to safely operate a 10 passenger van. Experience working with children preferred.
