Title: Procurement Costing Specialist

Reports to: Procurement Manager

Department: Procurement

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary of Position: Procurement Costing Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing suppliers on every aspect of tooling, inventory, and quality of raw materials. Responsibility also includes managing projects, reporting/presenting and closely working with Customers (Hyundai, Kia Motors).

Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Research and analyzes technology trends of the Seating System for design and development of new auto seat parts
  • Engineering order from customer (Hyundai and Kia Motors) reflection on seat
  • Value Analysis /Value Engineering by understanding Assembly Process of Seating System
  • Forecast a projected cost and budget report as required by the company.
  • Comprehensive report analysis during and end of each projects.
  • Implement strategies in minimizing cost to maintain the company’s forecasted budget.
  • New product development programs, engage with product management, engineering, and quality of suppliers.
  • Maintaining strategic sourcing relationship and developing strong partnerships with suppliers.
  • Understanding of manufacturing and affiliate supply processes
  • Prepare a contingency plan.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills(Korean and English)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Tools (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Experience with SAP preferred
  • Decision Making
  • Problem Solving/Analysis
  • Financial Management
  • Detail Oriented

Working Experience Required:

  • Experience and specialization in Purchase Management.
  • 3+ years’ industry experience
  • Understanding in shipping and logistics
  • Experience in project planning and operations
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Good Multi-tasking skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement/Engineering or related technical field preferred
