KG Truck and Auto Inc. is growing and looking for AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIANS. We are a full-service Auto and truck repair facility specializing in all Makes and models, diesel, A/C and electrical, gas engines, general repairs, and Heavy Truck fleet maintenance. We are recruiting an FT Automotive Technician for M-F 8-5 pm. Our continued success is a by-product of the team we have assembled through the years. Responsibilities Include:
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems and repair as necessary.
  • Complete preventative maintenance on all types of vehicles and equipment
  • Diagnose and repair diesel/gas engines.
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems.
  • Complete DOT Inspections, COMAR
  • Complete alignment check
  • Complete A/C work
  • Ability to maintain daily organization of all applicable repair and parts orders paperwork.
  • Proven welding ability preferred.
  • Ability to work in an autonomous, safe, and professional manner.
  • Participate in continuous ASE and dealer re-certification to remain in job classification.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend service and repair manuals.
  • Provide professional and respectful treatment to drivers, visitors, employees, and management.
  • Ensures all personal protective equipment is used as required.
  • Uses computers to issue parts and update comments on work orders/task lists, including.
  • Attach test instruments to equipment and read dials and gauges to diagnose malfunction.
  • Maintain equipment and routine maintenance.
  • Performs inspection, maintenance, and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles like trucks.
Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Preferably a minimum of 1+ years working in a busy automotive service department or independent mechanic shop.
  • Valid driver’s license with no more than two moving violations preferred.
  • ASE certifications preferred Mechanical or Engineering Technician Certificate or Degree
  • MUST HAVE your essential mechanical tools and transportation.
