Apartment Maintenance Technician

Gray Residential is seeking a maintenance technician for our Bloomington properties Echo Park and Forest Ridge. Characteristics of a great candidate include:

• Must have a good attitude and desire to help people.  
• Must have the ability to focus and complete tasks in the order of importance as communicated by your team leader.
• Musts have an understanding of the expectations of the amount of work that can be performed each day.
• Must have the ability and desire to do technical work as well as general grounds keeping such as picking up trash each morning, checking exterior areas for any damage or change due to weather or other circumstances.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies in rotation with other staff members.  In some cases, snow removal efforts are an emergency and would require you to report to the community earlier than your shift and/or stay later than a regular shift.
• Must communicate with team members on work being completed, issues that may arise.
• Must be able to raise your hand and ask for help.  Must welcome training provided.

We provide uniforms, safety shoes, tools, and training.  You are in control of your own success and future in the way that you complete work, interact with your team, maintain a positive attitude, and engage with residents.  
A full job description will be reviewed during the interview process.  Prior experience is preferred but not required.  Initiative, attitude, and ability and drive to get the work done is more important as we have the ability to train you.
