Summary:
The Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Operator's main function is to operate the surface mount line equipment in a safe and effective manner. The SMT Operator will perform line equipment setups and preparations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow all related work instructions, achieve quality goals and production targets, and follow all safety guidelines and regulation
- Perform PCB Load/ Unload, Transfer Conveyors, Screen Printer, SM Machines, Reflow Oven
- Component setups and teardown's of Cassette Feeder, Tray Feeders, Vibratory Feeders, Hand Placed Components
- Surface Mount Management System Database (SMMS) startup requires operator to login and startup of the SMMS database as well as logging data in the SMMS database
- Report to your Team Leader and inform SM Technicians on all problems and issues at all time Logging all data related to SM problems in the SMMS database.
- Knowledge of IPC specifications related to SM assembly. Ensure quality meets or exceeds quality requirement
- Perform basic daily cleaning of machine surfaces, scrap bins, and surrounding SM production area (5S)
- Meet or exceed production set targe
Education/ Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Surface Mount or computer skills preferred.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Able to efficiently run and operate SMT Machinery
- Proficient written and verbal communications skills
- Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving skills
- Positive attitude and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of current safety requirements
