Job Summary (Overall Purpose of the Position)
The purpose of this position is to support Midwest Energy, Inc. Gas division with ongoing maintenance of the gas system and comply with KCC regulations on atmospheric corrosion. This position is responsible for assisting with painting above ground gas meter sets and other gas facilities to protect against corrosion.

Job Duties - Responsibilities – Tasks

1. Paint all above ground Midwest Energy, Inc. gas meter sets and other gas facilities to protect them against corrosion.
2. Map progress on a system map.
3. This position will also work as a general helper to the Operations Department when the weather is not conducive for painting outside facilities.
4. Promotes safe working habits and follows all safety rules and regulations of Midwest Energy, Inc.
5. Operates and maintain vehicles and/or equipment in a safe manner and within the regulations of all Federal, State and local laws.
6. Advises supervisor of accidents.

Working Conditions

The work involves considerable walking. Should have dexterity and mental alertness. There is continual exposure to weather which may be inclement and may encounter temperamental animals.

Education and Experience

1. On the job training provided, no utility experience required.
2. Must have valid Kansas Driver’s license.
3. High school graduate or equivalent is required.
