Cafeteria Staff

Play a vital role in nourishing the minds and bodies of our students by contributing to a healthy and efficient school cafeteria operation. This position involves a variety of tasks related to food preparation, serving, customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with food preparation tasks as assigned, following established recipes and safety protocols.
• Set up and maintain serving lines with hot and cold food items, ensuring proper portions and presentation.
• Serve meals to students and staff efficiently and courteously, addressing dietary needs and allergies.
• Operate cash register or point-of-sale system, processing payments and maintaining accurate records.
• Clean and sanitize workstations, utensils, equipment, and dining areas according to health regulations.
• Participate in maintaining inventory of food supplies and equipment, ordering replacements as needed.
• Assist with maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the cafeteria.
• Follow all safety procedures and report any potential hazards or concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food Handlers Certification is required. 
• Previous experience in food service or customer service a plus.
• Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact effectively with students and staff.
• Demonstrated understanding of and adherence to food safety regulations.
