Job Description: Truss Builder

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret shop drawings to set up materials accordingly.
• Inspect materials for any defects before assembly.
• Position pre-cut lumber on gantry tables.
• Secure metal gusset plates to truss joints using a smooth-faced hammer.
• Operate the roof glider roller machine to attach gusset plates to assembled trusses.
• Transfer trusses from gantry to the conveyor rolling system.
• Maintain effective communication with team members.
• Ensure a clean and safe work area.
• Adhere to Company''s attendance policy.
• Follow OSHA regulations and company safety protocols.

Position Details:

• Job Title: Truss Builders
• Hours: 3:15 PM - 12:45 AM, Monday-Friday (5 days a week)
• Wage: $19.50/hour
• Reporting to: Production Manager/Shift Supervisor (2nd Shift)
• Sign on Bonus - $1,000 paid out after 30 days of hire on

Qualifications:

• Experience in woodworking or construction preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Physical capability to lift and position lumber.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to OSHA requirements.
