Summary:

Fabrication of products by performing necessary operating functions on drill presses, vertical mill, belt sander, pines bender, saws, lathes, and presses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The responsibilities listed below are not intended to be all-inclusive.

  • Positions parts according to the work order, routing, prints and knowledge of the product being fabricated.
  • Performs drilling, sanding, punching, and cutting.
  • Records all labor and downtime, documenting all information pertaining to each work order and routing.
  • Assures that the fit, function, and appearance of parts are at, or exceed standards.
  • Follows all company safety rules to provide a clean, accident-free, and healthy work environment.
  • Confers with the team or crew leaders on any problems regarding safety, quality, production, or inventory.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as required.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess basic math skills.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.

Preferred Experience:

  • Abilities to read and interpret blueprints.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret the English language.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Frequent use of hands that comes with the use of tools.
  • Agility of the upper and lower body extremities with the ability to reach, crouch, kneel, or stoop.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Capable of lifting 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds on occasion.
