Rate of Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the transition of medical records custodianship from client to company; acts as primary point of contact for client; partners with client representatives, medical records department personnel, and other relevant departments’ personnel to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Interacts with clients and internal personnel using various communication methods; ensures all relevant individuals are kept informed regarding custodianship transition; provides progress updates and relays relevant information as required.
  • Confirms medical records are received in accordance with client contract and relevant department and company policies and procedures.
  • Receives and responds to medical facility questions and concerns; provides resolution when possible or escalates to supervisor when the issue is beyond their knowledge or scope.
  • Maintains HIPAA compliance and confidentiality of information.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including active listening.
  • Service-oriented with strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills; experience using Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 45 words per minute.
  • Capability to follow HIPAA guidelines relative to sensitive document handling and destruction.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Recent customer service and/or office experience desired; experience in a medical setting preferred.
