OVERVIEW
This full-time position is responsible for the administrative needs of all Children’s Ministry programs at the Eden Prairie Campus. This role is essential to making Woods Kids a vibrant ministry through which young people, their parents, and volunteers can grow and develop a resilient faith in Jesus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide administrative support for the Children’s Ministry Team and programs
  • Monitor and process Children’s Ministry expenditures
  • Aid in Communications as needed: Parent Cue, social media, mass emails, etc.
  • Support major events – Camp Woods Kids (formerly Vacation Bible School), Fall Kick Off, etc.
  • Support scheduling, registration and reporting for weekly and seasonal ministry events
  • Actively participate in all-staff and ministry-specific meetings
  • Partner with Children’s Ministry Team on special assignments
  • Assist in ordering and maintaining Children’s Ministry supplies and resources
  • Participate fully as a member of the Children’s Ministry Staff team by communicating effectively, sharing resources, and helping other team members as needed
  • Ensure observation of the Child/Youth Safety Policy
  • Delegate appropriate tasks to volunteers

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Baccalaureate degree preferable
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and interruptions
  • Ability to manage significant flows of information
  • Ability to write and communicate clearly. Editing skills are desirable.
  • Exhibit familiarity and working knowledge of computer systems:
    1. Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point)
    2. Creative programs (e.g., InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, Etc.)
    3. Organizational programs (e.g., Pro Presenter, Planning center, Fellowship One)
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
  • Subscribe to and affirm the Statement of Faith and Covenant of Wooddale Church
  • Become or remain a member in good standing of Wooddale Church
  • Be a regular participant in public worship at Wooddale Church

RELATIONSHIPS

  • Reports to Children’s Executive Director
  • Works with designated staff and volunteers

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Extensive sitting for extended periods of time and working on a computer
  • Repetitive keyboard and mouse movement required
