    Position Summary:

    The Hospitality Host position at Steak ‘n Shake is a critical position that will professionally

    represent Steak ‘n Shake by greeting, engaging and serving new and existing guests and fans.


    Position Responsibilities:

    • Hospitality – Constantly creates a welcoming atmosphere that appreciates the Guest’s business and supports the location’s ambience with outgoing enthusiastic hospitality. Hospitality Hosts will greet guests upon entering, engage in positive and professional conversation with the Guests.
    • Company Knowledge – Thoroughly understands and is able to articulate the company’s heritage and the Vision / Mission. Utilizes company heritage as a conversation point with guests as they are in line, exiting or simply have a question.
    • Communication – Professionally communicates with others. The communication creates an enjoyable, entertaining and engaging interaction that educates the guest, promotes the brand, and creates a desire to return.
    • Menu/Ordering Knowledge – Detailed knowledge of the menu to assist Guests with ordering.
    • Cashier / Host – Ring guests orders into the POS and process payments.
    • Expo– Check food for accuracy in the Expo area, provide necessary utensils and direct guest to retrieve order while confirming order is given to the proper Guest.Obtain additional items when requested.
    • Professionalism – Outstanding personal hygiene and grooming that reflects the enthusiastic outgoing professional essence of the brand, as well as an attentive conversationalist that promotes our Vision and Mission.
    • Cleanliness and Food Safety – Maintains a clean and organized work area with precise execution of counter marketing initiatives.


    SecondaryResponsibilities:

    • Cleaning dining room, Expo area and bathrooms
    • Restoring guest readiness
    • Preparing tea and coffee
