CDG, Inc. is seeking applicants to join our team in Birmingham or Huntsville, AL.

The mission of the Business Development Professional is to build and maintain client relationships, identify and pursue engineering and environmental project opportunities, acquire project contracts, and other sales efforts to drive company growth.

The applicant will be expected to:
  1. Generate leads to develop new clients and project opportunities through meetings, networking, and other events.
  2. Maintain a balanced pipeline of project opportunities suitable for meeting personal and company goals.
  3. Work with leadership to ensure that the company’s offerings are matching client needs and make recommendations for new or expanded services where applicable.
  4. Maintain a high level of knowledge of the political climate, funding availability, and other factors that impact a client’s decision-making process.
  5. Acquire contracted work through quality relationships and understanding of client needs and expectations.
  6. Manage key client relationships to promote high client satisfaction and repeat work.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, public relations, or a closely related field
  • 4 years of experience in sales, 2+ of which should be in engineering or other professional services
