JOB SUMMARY

The Operator operates a fly ash loading facility, overseeing loading, billing, and testing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Comply with Eco Material Technologies Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Maintain communication with host facility
  • Monitor levels of fly ash in silos and place orders as needed.
  • Performs all required tests on fly ash as specified by the company; pulls samples for testing and for sending to customers
  • Operates truck scales and creates tickets and billing information
  • Operates all loading equipment for loading trucks and/or rail cars, may require the use of heavy equipment or a forklift
  • Takes care of maintaining and cleaning of all equipment, also maintains facilities and grounds, calls for maintenance work when necessary
  • Responsible for plant safety
  • Responsible for all paperwork and reports as required by the central office
  • Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

The employee should have the following:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and training or certification in relevant skill or trade
  • 1 - 2 years' experience in a relevant field

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee should possess the ability to:

  • Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable
  • Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out
  • Prolong standing or in stationary position
  • Complete repetitive movements
  • Bend and/or twist
  • Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to move or traverse about the facilities
  • Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection)
