Production Team Member - Seasonal/Part-Time

Hourly Rate: $18.00-$18.50 (Includes evening shift differential)

Summary:

Ruby Jewel is home to the Northwest's #1 ice cream sandwich, and we are seeking energetic people to join our ice cream sandwich production and manufacturing team. Our ice cream sandwiches are truly handmade, and that's where you fit in. We hand-squish, and manually process thousands of ice cream sandwiches a day at our production HQ and are seeking new, energetic, and quality-focused staff to add to our already amazing ice cream sandwich production team!

This is a seasonal, part-time position running from May 6th, 2024 through August 29th, 2024. Shift hours will be from 3:30PM-10:00PM, Monday through Thursday.

Principle Responsibilities (Variable):

• Ice cream sandwich processing and manufacturing
• Packaging preparation and coding
• Stocking boxes, bags, and prepping production equipment
• Transfer inventory between the production floor, storage freezers and the warehouse
• Sanitation processes and procedures
• Adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), sanitation and food safety requirements
• Understand, read and follow plant policies and procedures
• Must be friendly, courteous, flexible and enjoy working with a variety of staff
• Must be detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines
• Work independently, productively and be able to manage multiple projects
• Palletizing finished goods in a freezer environment

Physical Requirements and Working Environment:

• Ability to work the agreed upon schedule at time of hire
• Stand and walk for majority of a shift
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Repetitive motion and fine finger manipulation throughout the shift
• Ability to come in contact with allergens including but not limited to: nuts, dairy, gluten, latex
• Work short intervals regularly in a freezer environment

• Box Cutter
• Sanitation Equipment: Automated commercial dishwasher, brooms, mops, sanitation chemical applicators, sanitation chemicals
• Other materials designated as necessary for the Ruby Jewel production process

Education, Prior Work Experience, Specialized Skill and Knowledge:

• Food Manufacturing in a warehouse environment preferred
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Ability to comprehend, speak and read English
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have reliable transportation
