ARDEX Americas (www.ArdexAmericas.com), is a Global industry leader in the manufacturing and development of high-performance specialty building materials.

As the Quality Assurance Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the inspection of incoming raw materials, reviewing all manufacturing processes and finished products to assure compliance with ARDEX Americas quality standards. This position will direct the lab and quality operations by scheduling and assigning workloads, maintaining a close rapport with R&D, production, and technical service to identify, solve and prevent problems affecting quality.

This position will be based out of our corporate campus, located 20 minutes North of Pittsburgh International airport.

Skills/Attributes Required

  • Provide quality and technical support and guidance to laboratory technicians.
  • Ensure that QC documents are processed and filed with corresponding job files.
  • Directly oversee quality control technicians at all ARDEX Americas plant locations.
  • Provide necessary definition, development, and deployment of product quality assurance strategy, addressing all phases of product development.
  • Manage and maintain documentation for the Quality Management System and External Certification.
  • Use statistical analysis to identify, implement, and monitor ongoing quality improvement processes while working with interdepartmental teams.
  • Monitor and maintain product consistency throughout product cycle, to include the design, define and build phases through quality checkpoints and testing.
  • Develop and manage quality assurance metrics for performance improvement of all teams.
  • Ensure that corrective actions are completed and documented.
  • Responsible for Laboratory database.


  • Manufacturing Experience preferred.
  • 6 Sigma/Lean training preferred.
  • Solid Analytical and Statistical Analysis skills - demonstrated ability to trouble-shoot complex process/system issues using problem solving techniques/root cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication - effective written and oral communications skills.
  • ISO 9000 experience preferred
  • Intermediate Excel skills needed.
  • High customer and solution orientation, paired with a communicative personality and coaching skills.
  • Hands-on, QMS auditor/auditing, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to mentality challenge the "status quo."

Education

  • Bachelor's degree with at least two (2) years of work-related experience
  • Associate degree with at least four (4) years progressive work-related experience
  • High School Diploma/GED and least ten (10) years progressive work experience
