Salary: $3.13 per hour plus tips

POSITION SUMMARY:


Tripoli’s has room on our team for an energetic, professional, and personable individual who is passionate about the pursuit of excellence in Mediterranean cuisine. We are seeking a highly energized and organized Server to join our team. The Server responsibilities include the implementation of our Guest Service protocol, menu merchandising, and ensuring an overall positive experience for all our guests.  


This position contributes to Tripoli’s success by creating the Tripoli’s Experience for every customer. This is done by creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all customers, ensuring the delivery of friendly, efficient customer service, quality and well-prepared meals, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment. 


The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, diligent with details, and has a personable demeanor and time management skills. Experience in the food service industry is advantageous.


POSITION SUMMARY OF KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

  • Be fully knowledgeable about the menu, daily specials and coffee list, and share that knowledge with customers. 
  • Act with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Tripoli’s. 
  • Assist customers by determining their beverage and food interests and needs and ensure that service exceeds expectations to ensure a memorable and pleasant experience. 
  • Contribute to positive team environment by being a team player. 
  • Deliver the Tripoli’s Experience to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude and connecting with the customer. 
  • Follow Tripoli’s operational policies and procedures. 
  • Deliver quality beverages, whole bean and food products consistently by following prescribed preparation techniques and presentation standards. 
  • Make sure customers receive their order properly prepared or modified to their satisfaction.
  • Build relationships with new customers and foster relationships with existing customers. 
  • Suggest additional menu items to compliment a customer’s order. 
  • Replenish supplies, stocking equipment, pastries, and other products according to the checklist.
  • Participate fully in opening, during, shift change and closing procedures as it pertains to the respective schedule. 
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized workspace so that partners can locate resources and product as needed.  
  • Other duties as assigned.


PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: 

  • 1 year previous experience


CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED UPON HIRE: 

  • Food Handlers Certification


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be professional, articulate, friendly, and punctual. 
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively. 
  • Must possess and exhibit the drive to provide exceptional service. 
  • Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills. 
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and interact positively with other team members, vendors, customers and the Board of Directors, as well as handling sensitive information in confidence.
  • Must possess a positive, can-do attitude. 
  • Must be able to up sell on products.
  • Full time flexible hours are required (able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays).


ADDITIONAL CAPABILITIES:

  • Ability to work under pressure and with conflicting schedules.
  • Use good judgment and make independent decisions.
  • Plan work and carry through to completion with minimum supervision.
  • Edit, spell correctly, use proper English and make arithmetical computations.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects. 
  • Being able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
