Volt is immediately hiring for Procurement Administrator in La Porte, TX

As a Procurement Administrator you will:

  • Issue purchase order at agreed upon lead-time and pricing by buyer for delivery to match production timing.
  • Collaborate with various departments such as planning, customer service representative (CSR), production, maintenance, and finance department to ensure effective resource allocation, operational efficiency, and material consumption optimization.
  • Manage company's packaging material inventory to avoid any shortage or over stock
  • Maintain company purchase agreement contract and process for a renewal if any. Also ensure all purchases comply with agreements.
  • Liaising with other departments within the organization to ensure requests/projects are completed
  • Coordinate with accounting department and ensure compliance with data accuracy and supporting documentation.
  • Analyze requester/user patterns to predict future demand
  • Meet with suppliers and negotiate terms of purchase and contract, as necessary.
  • Coordinate with internal compliance & secretary for supplier purchase agreement and/or contract agreement review.
  • Support team members for negotiation with suppliers regarding prices, terms & condition to obtain cost savings.
  • Regularly review supplier evaluation results with CFO/COO to identify improvement plan, if any.
  • Ensure requests for quotation from suppliers/service providers are processed properly by team members
  • Ensure all purchased goods and services are completed as requested
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase order, payment term and delivery lead time of goods and services.



This is a Full-Time Direct Hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Ability to perform all basic calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • High standard for quality.
  • Willingness to perform various tasks in support of the organization including but not limited to general labor.
  • Ability to lift 55 lbs. (frequently up to 100 lbs.)
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors (extreme weather conditions).
  • Schedule flexibility to work other than normal scheduled hours, which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays, according to the needs of the business.



Salary: $60,000 annually

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
