The Role

OWL Services has an immediate opening for a full-time Civil Designer. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to accomplish department goals. If you are looking for a long-term opportunity, please apply to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Generate construction documents via AutoCAD, focusing on civil site plans, grading and drainage plans, and structural detailing
• Create preliminary design sketches for conceptual analysis
• Create engineering drawings and designs for execution teams
• Create design specifications, documentation, and material lists
• Work with Estimation team to estimate material and production costs for designs
• Prepare complete documentation packages for engineers
• Verify drawings are correct to specifications, codes, and other regulations
• Develop technical reports for engineers

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft products, particularly Office (Excel, Word, Email)
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and manual drafting workstations
• Familiar with Adobe Acrobat software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional time management, accountability, and prioritization skills
• Ability to multi-task and manage several projects concurrently
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop creative solutions
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy when completing projects
• Ability to support a fast paced environment
