College Intern - Service

HOLT CAT is looking for a Technical School/College Intern to join our team. This position is an entry-level Shop Service Technician intern who will be under the direct guidance of an experienced Service Shop Supervisor to receive on-the-job training. The intern's primary purpose is to learn and develop an understanding of the overall Service Department operation and learn valuable skills to succeed in this industry.

1. Will attend company-instructed classroom courses as required

2. Complete online safety training and attend regular safety meetings

3. Receive coaching, mentoring, and feedback from Service leadership

On-the-job training curriculum may include:

• Safety courses
• Perform maintenance systems checks and troubleshoot problems in accordance with CAT Manufacture specifications
• Help install, repair, and replace mechanical and electronic components
• Clean and/or lubricate machines
• Examine and test equipment, components, and parts to ensure the proper functioning
• Using hand or power tools safely
• Adjust, maintain, and repair equipment and machine components

REQUIREMENTS:

• The candidate must be a current student enrolled in a College/Technical School program in mechanical skills/diesel technology program.
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must undergo a background check
