Job Description

The Digital Content Writer will be responsible for creating and publishing various types of digital content including articles, blog posts, social media posts, videos, emails, and other various formats. The position will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop engaging and informative content that aligns with the company's brand and marketing goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Content Creation & Distribution:
    • Create and publish engaging digital content for various platforms such as company websites, blogs, social media, podcasts, and other online channels.
    • Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and maintains a consistent tone and style.
    • Optimize content for search engines and social media platforms to increase visibility and reach.
    • Edit and proofread content for accuracy, grammar, and style.
  • Planning & Collaboration:
    • Work closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to create content that aligns with the company's overall business goals.
    • Develop and maintain an editorial calendar to ensure consistent production and timely delivery.
  • Research & Analytics:
    • Analyze content performance metrics and user engagement to inform future content strategies.
    • Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends and best practices to incorporate fresh and innovative ideas into content creation.
  • Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & RELATED EXPERIENCE

  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience creating compelling, shareable, original content is required.
  • Proven experience writing, editing, and creating engaging content using brand voice and following established guidelines is required.
  • A portfolio of published articles or other content is required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Deep understanding of digital marketing trends, search engine optimization (SEO), web traffic metrics and content marketing strategies.
  • Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences.
  • A high degree of organization and understanding of the planning, creative, and organizational structures required for a successful content
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with insistence on correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Proactive, self-starter spirit and flexibility to work independently and on a team in a fast-paced environment with ever-shifting priorities.
  • Combination of high-level strategic focus and strong attention to detail.
  • Passion for creating engaging and innovative digital content.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Expertise with content management systems (CMS) such as Wordpress or other similar platforms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Analytics, and Adobe Creative Suite or similar software.
  • Willingness to learn and apply new skills to current tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Effective critical thinking skills and resourceful thinking.
