Import/Export Compliance Specialist

  

The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of export control regulations, outstanding attention to detail, and a proven track record of fostering relationships with foreign trade offices and regulatory agencies.


Import/Export Compliance Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive export compliance policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with international trade laws.
  • Conduct thorough audits and risk assessments to uphold compliance standards.
  • Obtain and manage export licenses and agreements, liaising with U.S. and international regulatory bodies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with foreign trade offices and partners, facilitating smooth and compliant cross-border transactions.
  • Stay abreast of changes in export regulations, adapting compliance strategies accordingly.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of export transactions and compliance activities.

Import/Export Compliance Specialist Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge of U.S. and international export regulations (EAR, ITAR, DGR, etc.).
  • Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with foreign trade offices and regulatory agencies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex regulations in understandable terms.
  • Proficient in compliance software and office applications.
  • Independent worker and collaborative team player.
  • Unwavering commitment to ethical conduct and compliance.

Import/Export Compliance Specialist Education and Other Requirements:

  • Extensive experience (3-5+ years) in export compliance, with a preference for candidates with international liaison experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.

Import/Export Compliance Specialist Benefits:

  • A competitive salary range of $79,000 to $110,000, depending on experience
