Packer

A Gladwin County plastics manufacturer is seeking Packers to join their team! This is a full-time, temp-hire opportunity once a reliable attendance record has been demonstrated as well as a positive work ethic. A 3-2-2 schedule is in effect with hours from 7:00pm-7:00am OT 7:00am-7:00pm (NOT SWING SHIFTS) requiring employees to work every other weekend with time off during the week. Starting compensation is $16/hr. This is a very clean facility that can be quite warm during the summer months.

Responsibilities:

• As product is being produced, Packer will receive parts off of a line and carefully inspect it for defects.
• Packer will also count products and stack them according to specifications to prepare them for shipment.
• Packer will place stacked products into boxes and label the boxes on pallets as required.
• When there is down time, Packer will clean and organize their work stations to maintain utmost safety and efficiency.

Skills:

• Ability to follow verbal and written directives.
• Must be able to remain on feet for extended periods with regular bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting up to 40Lbs.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have reliable transportation in order to demonstrate a dependable attendance record.
• Must comply with Spherion's Drug Free Workplace Policy and disclose relevant criminal history at the time of hire.
