Job Title: Warehouse Associate

Job Description:

The Warehouse Associate is detail-oriented and supports the warehouse team to ensure daily operational efficiency. They receive, record, and manage daily inbound and outbound freight information. They exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills.

Specific Responsibilities:

1. Generate WHR for all upcoming cargo.
   1. Identify consignee to assign warehouse area.
   2. Print the label and place it on the shipment.
   3. Provide WHR along with BOL and pictures to operations.
   4. Put away freight to its location within the warehouse.
2. Generate OHR and confirm inventory twice a week or as needed.
3. Provide Delivery Orders, Pickup Orders to the warehouse personnel for dispatch and return documentation signed to Operations.
4. Create a Cargo release for all loading plans and provide the final Cargo release once the container is loaded.
5. Print all documentation for the warehouse personnel as needed.
6. Archive all signed documentation weekly.
7. Handle assigned accounts, including:
   1. Request ERST to the ocean carrier.
   2. They then send the work order to the trucking company.
   3. Updated the customer with the on-hand cargo and receive application instructions.
   4. Request invoice service to vendor and invoice the customer.
8. Implement strategic policies to drive profitable growth to deliver company and customers' goals.
9. Ensure we meet and exceed clients' expectations and needs.
10. Work directly with the Customer Service Team to ensure all shipments are handled within customer expectations.
11. Find solutions to any situation that may arise with dispatching and receivables.
12. Escalate any situation with supporting data to Managers and Directors.

Qualifications:

1. One (1) year of experience handling ocean transportation documentation and customer service functions.
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (required) and Spanish (preferred but not required).
3. Basic skills in programs such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
4. High School diploma or equivalent.
5. Ability to communicate (read and write) effectively in a business environment.
6. Strong organizational skills.
7. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
8. Ability to exercise good judgment in prioritizing projects delegated by supervisor.
9. Able to work under pressure.
