Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Manage a production team of cable and harness assemblers to successfully complete projects that range in complexity
  • Understand ow cables are designed and developed
  • Create and maintain a master production schedule with input and buy-in from the production team. Harness team members’ abilities and optimize the use of their time. Hold the team accountable to the schedule
  • Coordinate with the operations manager to ensure that customer deadlines are communicated and met
  • Gather information that drives productivity and keeps customers well informed of their project status
  • Streamline production operations and increase output by actively and proactively searching for ways to increase efficiencies
  • Administer safety protocols and enforcement to create a safe work environment for all employees
  • Plan, direct and prioritize the overall daily operations in conjunction with the Operations Manager
  • Communicate logistics with relevant departments and trouble shoot
  • Assist in handling quality discrepancies and corrective actions.
  • Monitor staff, assess performance, identify barriers that impede the job from being completed
  • Ensure effective hand off from the day to the night shift
  • Foster a team culture of collaboration and service
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Other duties as assigned
