Production Supervisor

BJG is a leading supplier of interconnect and electro-mechanincal products to the world’s leading mil-aero OEMs, serving various markets including: defense, commercial air, test & measurement, radar, and space. As a value-added distributor and assembler, the company maintains niche capabilities in designing cables, harnesses, box assemblies, and build to print assemblies.

While BJG is constantly growing they still maintain their family roots and leadership team. BJG is now currently looking for a Production Supervisor.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

• Manage a production team of cable and harness assemblers to successfully complete projects that range in complexity
• Understand ow cables are designed and developed
• Create and maintain a master production schedule with input and buy-in from the production team. Harness team members’ abilities and optimize the use of their time. Hold the team accountable to the schedule
• Coordinate with the operations manager to ensure that customer deadlines are communicated and met
• Gather information that drives productivity and keeps customers well informed of their project status
• Streamline production operations and increase output by actively and proactively searching for ways to increase efficiencies
• Administer safety protocols and enforcement to create a safe work environment for all employees
• Plan, direct and prioritize the overall daily operations in conjunction with the Operations Manager
• Communicate logistics with relevant departments and trouble shoot
• Assist in handling quality discrepancies and corrective actions.
• Monitor staff, assess performance, identify barriers that impede the job from being completed
• Ensure effective hand off from the day to the night shift
• Foster a team culture of collaboration and service
• Identify opportunities for process improvement
• Other duties as assigned
