Due to recent internal advancements, Weinbrenner Shoe Company is looking for motivated candidates to fill a Inventory Support Coordinator position at our Merrill, WI location. The Inventory Support Coordinator is responsible for supporting manufacturing in aspects of production, including but not limited to monitoring product structures, inventory and non-inventory management, effective and accurate use of the ERP and time management system, developing KPI's to ensure continuous improvement and performing daily cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and fixing root causes.

In this role, your work expectations will not only support our core values, but will also support the function of the role, including:

  • Ensure materials are available for production when required.
  • Ensure that materials that are late or holding up production are followed up until received, while informing the appropriate department Supervisor.
  • Monitor material utilization and scrap
  • Implement improvement processes and systems to reduce inventory, minimize costs and maximize working capital.
  • Become the manufacturing system (M3) expert
  • Ensure MO's (product structures) are correct, systematically closed correctly and that all inventory is being back-flushed correctly
  • Ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed, and resolved
  • Systematically evaluate and report MO flow by subcontractors and/or departments.
  • Manage and evaluate planned inventory Kan Ban levels.
  • Produce daily reports to ensure critical areas of the inventory system are controlled.
  • Provide routine management information on inventory performance.

Qualified candidates must have:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in inventory control, or a combination of formal education and work experience.
  • Experience with IT/ERP systems is preferred.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.
  • Ability to write technical reports.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Be able to resolve issues in a proactive manner and remain calm under pressure.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
