Position Summary: The primary purpose of this position is to assist with routine functions of the People Relations department, including completing employment verifications, posting jobs and announcements, and onboarding new employees.

 

Qualifications :

  1. Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field preferred.
  2. One year of experience in Human Resources is preferred.
  3. One year of office/clerical/administrative experience required.
  4. Strong organizational, analytical, detail oriented, and communication skills.
  5. Must possess good judgment and a high degree of urgency and follow through.
  6. A valid California driver’s license with less than two minor moving violations is required of staff who have driving duties to meet the requirements of their position and be approved by the agency’s insurance company.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Proficiency with Microsoft software, HRIS systems, and have ability to learn new software programs.
  2. Ability to work efficiently, handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  3. Sound personal qualifications (i.e., maturity, stability, high moral standards, and sound mental health and physical ability to perform job duties).
  4. Demonstrated ability to work in highly confidential position and maintain confidentiality of agency business.
  5. Detail oriented with ability to understand significance of department consistency and knowledge.
  6. Demonstrated ability to maintain professional boundaries and work harmoniously with others.

 

Responsibilities:

 

General:

  1. Complete personnel-related forms, such as financial and employment verifications.
  2. Collaborate with People Relations team members to plan and manage the annual health benefit renewal process.
  3. Access information regarding sick, vacation and other applicable benefits status.
  4. Assist with accident investigations.
  5. Assist the Recruiter/Talent Advisor with new hire requests, job postings and announcements, and screening process to clear candidates for in-person interviews.
  6. Complete the entire onboarding process with all new hires, interns, mentors, and volunteers. Including, scheduling, and administering all onboarding meetings, ensuring all paperwork is completed in full, coordinate and ensure that all requirements/background clearances are met prior to communication of clearance to the hiring manager. Manage process through employee’s first day of work.
  7. Inform People Relations management of any employee concerns or issues.
  8. Responsible for preventing and controlling infection.
  9. Responsible for maintaining a culture of quality and safety.

 

Administrative:

  1. Provide administrative assistance to the People Relations Department as needed including auditing files, tracking documentation to maintain compliance, gathering data, generating reports, data entry, general filing etc.
  2. Act as the back-up for People Relations Program Specialist.

 

Other:

  1. Attend all required meetings.
  2. Report any suspected child or dependent adult/elder abuse or neglect immediately to direct supervisor or utilize the chain of command if supervisor is unavailable.
  3. Report any client imminent danger to self or to others or gravely disabled immediately to direct supervisor or utilize the chain of command if supervisor is unavailable.
  4. Other duties as assigned.
