2nd Shift Food Manufacturing Converting Line Operator

Primary Function: Operate KORC (Knife Over Roll Coat) equipment to process jobs to meet customer demands and specifications. This includes machine setup, process parameters to ensure optimal line speeds and quality. Inspect, operate, and test KORC functions including high heat temp system and/or equipment to diagnose and resolve machine malfunctions.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Set up line and gather materials to produce specifications according to the schedule
• Assist with continuous improvement efforts and other LEAN initiatives to maintain and improve KPIs.
• Perform and document line parameters, quality checks, and moisture checks accurately during the process run.
• Record all process data effectively on the OEE tracking sheet.
• Must be able to perform roll product changeovers effectively and efficiently.
• Must be able to adjust line (heat and speed parameters) based on current quality during process runs to meet specifications.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Mechanical aptitude to perform necessary preventative maintenance functions.
• Read work instructions to understand the job that is being processed.
• Ability to clearly communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and shift lead.
• Familiarity with food processing and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Ability to trouble shoot and make quick decisions.
• Ability to multitask
• Needs to have a good aspect of process awareness
• Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
