Maintenance Technician

OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for maintaining the Bank’s facilities and equipment including basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical and mechanical repairs as well as ordering and distributing the Bank’s office supplies

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• General maintenance of all Bank properties, ensuring that all mechanical equipment, such as air conditioners, heating systems, and alarm systems are functioning properly and ensuring grounds are properly maintained;
• Communicate and work with banking staff to help identify and maintain office properties;
• Managing the ordering, delivery and inventory levels of the Bank’s general office supplies;
• Assisting in obtaining and analyzing bids from external vendors/service providers as needed and submitting these bids and recommendations to supervisor for action;
• Assisting with renovation and construction projects as required and overseeing contracted projects to verify adherence to specifications; and,
• Assisting in the purchases of building and maintenance supplies, equipment and furniture

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• A high school diploma or GED;
• A working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, building and HVAC systems and repairs;
• The ability to sit, stand, reach with arms and hands, bend, and lift objects weighing up to fifty (50) lbs.;
• Proven customer relations skills; and
• A valid driver’s license.

Preferred:

• Experience in related positions normally required; and
• Proficient carpentry and mechanical skills.
