Pay: $22-28/hr

We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team as an OD Grind Operator. The successful candidate will be responsible for the set-up and operation of OD grinding machines in a climate-controlled environment. This is an immediate employment opportunity, and we are looking for a candidate with a strong background in precision grinding and manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

  1. OD Grinding Operations: Perform set-up and operation of OD grinding machines to produce high-quality precision components.

  2. Blueprint Reading: Interpret and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate and precise grinding operations.

  3. Dimensioning & Tolerance: Have a strong understanding of dimensioning and tolerance requirements, ensuring workpieces meet specified criteria.

  4. American Decimal System: Proficiently work with the American Decimal System to measure and calibrate components accurately.

  5. GD&T Symbols: Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance symbols to interpret design specifications.

  6. Measurement Tools: Utilize micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, and other precision measurement tools for inspection and quality control.

  7. Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of finished products through regular inspections and adherence to quality standards.

  8. Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on grinding machines to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience: Proven experience in the set-up and operation of OD grinding machines.

  2. Skills: Proficient in blueprint reading, American Decimal System, GD&T symbols, and the use of measurement tools.

  3. Precision: Ability to work with precision and maintain high-quality standards.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in machining is a plus.
