About this Opportunity:

The Manufacturing Engineer will be part of the Engineering team with exciting opportunity to solve a wide range of complex challenges in new and sustaining products. This role will be at the forefront of the transformation driving efficiency improvements, process knowhow and excellence in collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Be the technical point-of-contact for system-level projects.
• Defines process, tooling, testing, data traceability, packaging, material overhead, etc.
• Coordinate and communicate with Mechanical/Electronics engineers and other functions to enable system-level build
• Creates cell layout, perform cycle time calculations, and line balance.
• Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching testing methods, and conferring with equipment vendors.
• Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods.
• Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs.
• Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.
• Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
• Supports facility operations by coordinating with designed maintenance and repair services.
• Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.
• Serve as a technical focal point who meets the Customer Focus Business Unit (CFBU) objectives of delivery, quality, and customer service.
• Assist Quality Engineering in non-conformance material disposition and failure analysis.

Requirements / Skills:

• 4-year Engineering or Technical degree required.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience
• Practical knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes, and product realization
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
• Familiar with the method of Product Life Cycle and New Product Introduction (APQP, EVT-DVT-PVT, etc.)
• Familiarity with electromechanical manufacturing requirements such as IEC and ISO standards
• Understanding of ISO9001, ISO13485, AS9102, Build report and First Articles
• Familiar with tools and processes necessary for systems integrations such as torque, ESD, adhesives, testing
• Understanding of Design for Six Sigma
• Familiar with MS Office, Bartender, and scripts
• Experience working with MRP/ERP systems
• Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, both domestically and internationally
