Job Description
The Soft Skills Corporate Training Instructor is tasked with designing and implementing tailored training programs aimed at bolstering the skills and knowledge of our clients' workforces, primarily in the area of soft skills. This role requires the development and execution of educational strategies that are in sync with our client's business goals. The perfect candidate will bring a wealth of experience in corporate training, coupled with proficiency in engaging and educating employees across various settings. Responsibilities include delivering training sessions live online, onsite at the client’s premises, or any of Bergen Community College’s facilities.
This is a part-time, as-needed position. You must be available to teach on weekdays.
POSITION SUMMARY
- Design and develop customized training programs based on thorough needs assessments, ensuring alignment with client-specific organizational goals and objectives.
- Class topics include, but not limited to, Communication Skills, Leadership Development, Negotiation Skills, and Customer Service Excellence. Creativity and Innovation.
- Deliver dynamic and engaging training sessions in various formats, including live online, onsite at client locations, and in-person at Bergen Community College facilities, adapting to the unique needs of each audience.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback collection, performance assessments, and other relevant metrics, making adjustments as necessary to meet desired learning outcomes.
SPECIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in curriculum development
- Experience teaching soft skills to corporate clients
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills
- Experience training online via Webex, Zoom, MS Teams, and Google Meets
- Strong research aptitude to remain updated on industry trends and best practices
Education: Bachelor's degree in related field
Experience: Demonstrated track record as a soft skills corporate trainer instructor or in a comparable capacity.
Hourly rate is $55
