Exacta Systems is an industry leader providing robust innovative solutions to gaming entertainment. Our fast-growing gaming company operates in the pari-mutuel gaming industry and we are seeking an IT Systems Administrator.

IT Systems Administrator will join our IT team to help deploy, monitor, and support our systems and network infrastructures across multiple locations. Our ideal candidate is resourceful, proactive, and a good problem-solver. Join us in our mission to deliver cutting-edge solutions while fostering a culture of innovation. This position includes 24/7/365 on-call support as needed, and travel to customer sites.

What you will do:

  • Provide hands-on support for customer IT systems, including servers and network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Efficiently handle support tickets, execute patch management, and perform remote system configurations to maintain system integrity.
  • Monitor all customer systems, swiftly responding to and resolving alerts to prevent downtime.
  • Manage IT System installations, ensuring systems meet customer specifications and performance standards.
  • Secure user accounts and maintain firewall and security policies to protect against unauthorized access and potential security threats.
  • Collaborate in constructing system builds as needed, contributing to the hardware assembly and software setup.
  • Assist field-ops teams with server, network, and gaming system issues, providing expertise to ensure operational continuity.
  • Initiate and oversee IT vendor support tickets, ensuring timely resolution of issues and maintaining vendor relationships.
  • Oversee and ensure the reliability of backup systems, conducting regular tests and recovery drills.
  • Monitor and support Internet Service Provider activities for both customer sites and Exacta offices, addressing connectivity issues promptly.
  • Deliver on-demand IT support for Exacta corporate systems, adapting to diverse technical needs.

What we are looking for:

  • Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP, Hyper-V, IIS).
  • Windows Desktop support for user PCs.
  • SNMP Monitoring (understanding and how to configure).
  • Logic Monitor - IT Systems Monitoring.
  • HPE/Aruba & Cisco Network Skills (VLANs, Routing, IP subnetting, switch configuration).
  • Fortigate Firewall basic troubleshooting and support.
  • Linux Servers (Ubuntu Server) installations and support.
  • Docker container - understanding, installing, configuration, support.
  • Synology NAS (Storage and backups).
  • FreshDesk - IT support ticketing system.
  • Documentation - Build and maintain documentation for customer sites and system builds.
  • 3-5 year’s experience in System Administration or related field.
  • Must have and maintain a current/valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming/Horse Racing License in multiple states.
  • Able to perform regular physical activity such as walking, carrying, sitting, standing, and lifting.
