Job DescriptionThe Direct Sales Producer is responsible for bringing in new member sales for the Individual Market segment. Provides licensed agent sales support for both customer-initiated and outbound lead follow up calls and emails with prospects interested in purchasing health insurance products sold both in the Over 65 and Under 65 segments. Will work to grow both the Individual under 65 and Senior Market market share and maximize our overall direct channel sales levels.

Job Summary

Direct sales agents create customer awareness and instill confidence in the products and choices that are offered by Blue Cross NC. Through a consultative sales approach, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, analyzing insurance needs for prospective members and offering suitable health insurance policies.

We are looking to employ a driven direct sales agent who can answer questions regarding product pricing, availability, features, and benefits and to guide prospects through the entire decision journey. Ultimately, a top-performing direct sales agent should be able to meet or exceed sales goals in a competitive environment. What You'll Do

  • Responsible for the acquisition of new members from inbound call leads and through outbound lead nurturing and follow up.

  • Initiates all outbound and follow-up sales for leads across a multi segment and product sales continuum.

  • Must be able to explain key product differences, provide individualized rate quotes, explain benefits and underwriting and enrollment requirements across all products.

  • Uses a consultative sales approach to identify prospects' goals and objectives and to direct customers to the product that provides the highest degree of value based on their insurance needs.

  • Directs leads to the most cost-effective close channel/personnel/techniques to maximize their total salesand to meet individual and departmental sales goals.

  • Must be able to continue learning and acquiring knowledge through continuing education and be able to retain historical knowledge of sales processes and procedures.

  • Identifies opportunities to sell additional company products via cross-selling.

  • Adheres to and maintains strict quality guidelines and compliance with marketing and sales guidelines.

  • Responsible for the integrity of their sales presentations and actions while interacting with prospects.

  • Proactively manages prospects through the e-channel, including e-mail marketing, chat and end-user technical support.

  • Collaborates with Sales management and support teams to help address, identify and resolve service issues for prospects and recent applicants.

  • Completes and maintains accurate and up-to-date notes for all conversations with prospects solely through the CRM system.

What You'll Bring

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 3+ years of experience in Sales

  • Must have or be able to obtain a North Carolina Insurance (Accident and Health) licenseand/or Med Supp and Long-Term Care within the first 60 days of employment in this position.
