Job Title: Assistant Event Manager (Part-Time)

Location: LaMarr Civic Center, Eufaula, AL

Salary: $20.00 p/hr

Experience: At least 3 years’ experience as an Assistant Event Manager

Education: A minimum of a high school diploma

Overall Description: We are looking for an Assistant Event Manager who is organized, professional, creative, customer service-oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment. This position will assist the Event Manager in the planning and execution of on-site events.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Event Manager in coordination of events
  • Organize event documentation
  • Organize and review vender contracts
  • Create and maintain event timelines, ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Collaborate with Event Manager to develop event promotional materials
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Operate and maintain A/V equipment used to enhance live events, such as microphones, video recorders, projectors, lighting etc.
  • Manage room reservations and organize all aspects for events/meetings
  • Collaborate with event guests during the duration of their event
  • Provide upkeep of and stock all meeting rooms, kitchens, and communal areas with necessary supplies
  • Support front desk personnel, checking in guests, answering questions and other receptionist duties.
