Department: Wellness Center - Housekeeping & Laundry

Status: Full-Time

Shift: Days, 7am -3pm or 8am - 4pm (Can be flexible)

The Housekeeping & Laundry Supervisor supports our mission and values by supervising laundry/housekeeping staff, maintaining a clean environment for members and staff, and performing routine cleaning of resident's rooms, halls, offices, and other assigned areas.

The Housekeeping & Laundry Supervisor's primary responsibilities will include:

• Supervising daily Housekeeping and Laundry operations at the Wellness Center.
• Scheduling all work hours for Housekeeping staff.
• Performing employee evaluations in a timely manner for staff.
• Taking inventory and orders housekeeping supplies.
• Coordinating schedules for housekeeping and events with Event Coordinator.
• Cleaning assigned areas.
• Performing daily tasks in accordance with infection control and universal precaution policies and procedure.
• Respecting confidentiality and membership and rentals.
• Respecting and shows kindness to all.
• Assuring that floors are free of hazardous debris.
• Practicing good body mechanics in regards to lifting.
• Protecting and maintaining all work areas in accordance with facility safety policies.
• Performing tasks such as washing over-the-bed lights, pictures and objects on walls, wall washing, baseboards, etc. as assigned.
• Working within budget levels for staff hours and laundry/housekeeping supplies.
• Training new employees.
• Attending and participating in staff meetings as scheduled.
• Promoting good attitude and outstanding customer service.
• Participating in community and in-house events related to the interests of Brethren Care Village residents and family members.
• Referring members/families to Director if unable to resolve any resident/family concerns.
• Developing and maintains a good rapport with other departments to ensure that a team effort is achieved.
• Representing Brethren Care Village in various social events off and on campus.
• Perform other duties as requested.

What do I need for this role?

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Maintain First Aide certification
