Job Description

Lufkin Industries is hiring crane operators to be based in Dickinson, ND.

Responsibilities

  • Operate mobile crane and move pumping unit components to various locations in a safe and effective manner
  • Inspect, rig, and ensure that rigging applications are configured in accordance with the load chart and manufacturer guidelines
  • Inspect, clean, and perform operator level maintenance on equipment in accordance with standards
  • Closely interact with crew members on job tasks and safety accountability
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to crew members
  • Perform daily safety checks to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition
  • Follow related safety regulations, contract requirements, company policies, and operating procedures
  • Complete necessary documentation, and reporting
  • Lead the JSA process with active participation from crew members

Knowledge & Skills 

  • Knowledge of equipment safety, maintenance, and storage
  • Trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently in order to understand equipment load charts, prepare written orders, read safety topics, etc.

Experience & Education

  • Minimum one (1) year of pumping unit experience operating cranes preferred
  • Valid commercial driver’s license
  • Equipment Operator training and certificate from National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO)

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

  • Ability to lift forty (40) pounds, bend, stoop, and work safely around equipment, materials, supplies, and other items to be handled
  • Exposure to weather and hazardous conditions

Successful candidates will be eligible for up to a $1250 sign-on bonus. Relocation assistance available.
