Job Title: Bilingual Nanny/Private Teacher

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Bilingual Nanny/Private Teacher to join our family and provide exceptional care and educational support to our children. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and another language, with extensive teaching experience and a passion for nurturing young minds. This role involves not only providing attentive childcare but also engaging in educational activities and promoting language development in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide high-quality childcare and supervision for our children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and happiness at all times.
  2. Create a stimulating and enriching learning environment that fosters the intellectual, social, and emotional development of the children.
  3. Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities, lesson plans, and curriculum tailored to the children's individual needs and interests.
  4. Foster bilingual language development through immersion techniques, storytelling, games, and other engaging activities.
  5. Support the children with their schoolwork, homework assignments, and extracurricular activities, providing academic guidance and assistance as needed.
  6. Plan and organize educational outings, field trips, and cultural experiences to enhance the children's learning and exposure to the world around them.
  7. Maintain open and regular communication with parents to provide updates on the children's progress, activities, and any concerns or issues that may arise.
  8. Assist with light household duties related to the children's care, such as meal preparation, laundry, and tidying up their play areas.
  9. Accompany the family on occasional travel trips, including one week of travel per month, providing childcare and educational support during the journey.
  10. Serve as a positive role model and mentor to the children, instilling values of kindness, respect, and responsibility.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Education, Early Childhood Development, or a related field preferred.
  2. Bilingual proficiency in English and another language (e.g., Spanish, French, Mandarin, etc.) required.
  3. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as a nanny, private tutor, or teacher, preferably with children of similar age.
  4. Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing educational programs and activities that promote learning and development.
  5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with children and parents.
  6. Patience, creativity, and flexibility to adapt to the changing needs and dynamics of the family.
  7. CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  8. Willingness and ability to travel with the family for one week per month, both domestically and internationally.
  9. Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
  10. Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
