MetroLINK is in search of a Human Resources (HR) Coordinator eager to play a vital role in workforce recruitment, shaping employee experiences, collaborating on workforce development initiatives, and promoting MetroLINK as a Choice Employer. The HR Coordinator plans, organizes and facilitates the activities of the HR department including recruitment and selection, on-boarding, employee engagement and workforce development initiatives; ensures the HR activities and procedures are in compliance with all laws, policies, regulations, and standards.

Essential Duties include:

Identify staffing and recruiting needs; develop best practices for hiring and talent management. Collaborates with senior leadership to understand goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting and retention.

Conduct full recruiting cycle; post open positions on job boards, website and agency recruitment sites, review applications, conduct initial pre-screening of qualified candidates, schedule and conduct interviews, extend offer of employment, and schedule post job offer requirements.

Conduct new hire orientations; coordinate all aspects of the new hire on-boarding process for the organization, ensuring a well-structured, streamline experience and smooth transition for new employees.

Foster a positive working environment through relationship building and facilitating communication amongst all levels of the organization; administrative, bargaining unit and management staff. Participates in meetings between labor and management to to discuss and resolve issues of mutual concern.

Handle routine HR inquiries related to policies, procedures, employee benefits and leave, wage and salary and serves as the initial liaison for intake and assessment of employee complaints.

Oversee MetroLINK's Substance Abuse Testing, Worker's Compensation and Modified Duty Programs.

Qualifications:

Qualified applicants will posses a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Public Administration or related field, AND five (5) years of professional human resource experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience as determined by Human Resources. PHR strongly preferred.

The starting salary for this position is $52,247 - $67,921 and will commensurate with experience.
