CAD Design Expert

FinishLinePDS are currently seeking highly skilled CAD Design Experts to collaborate with us as 1099 contractors. This is a freelance position with a flexible workload based on project requirements.
Are you a Mechanical Engineering CAD design pro? Do you excel in SolidWorks and/or Onshape, bringing precision and creativity to your designs? If you possess top-notch CAD skills and thrive in independent work settings, join us as a freelance contractor for innovative design projects.
What You’ll Do

• Utilize SolidWorks and/or Onshape to conceptualize, model, and develop detailed engineering designs for various components and assemblies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including industrial designers, engineers, and manufacturing specialists to ensure designs meet performance, manufacturability, and cost targets.
• Create 3D models, technical drawings, and documentation for parts and assemblies, adhering to industry standards and best practices.

What You Bring

 

• Able to work independently on design tasks while collaborating effectively with our team
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and/or Onshape with a strong portfolio showcasing complex designs and projects
• Experience in product development and design, preferably within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
