- High School Diploma
- Lead Teacher Qualified according to WI DCF 251 (multiple pathways accepted)
- Experience in classroom management and curriculum implementation
- Understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practice
- Infant Child CPR, AED and First Aid Certification or willing to obtain
- Shaken Baby SIDS training or willing to obtain
- Continuing Education: Minimum of 25 hours per year required.
- Able to pass a criminal background check
- Strong people skills

Duties
Job Responsibilities Duties:
Program, Work Environment and Personnel
- Incorporate elements of our mission "Gather in Grace, Grow in Faith, and Go Equipped to Serve".
- Create, complete, and implement daily and weekly curriculum, under the support and guidance of administration.
- Create and distribute monthly classroom newsletter to communicate with families.
- Provide a warm, safe, and nurturing environment.
- Manage classroom behavior by using a positive approach while clearly communicating classroom rules and expectations and using positive redirection and affirmation.
- Complete individual child assessments/evaluations and conduct parent/teacher conferences twice a year:
- Maintain open, honest communication with parents and co-workers.
- Arrive to work on time and notify Director immediately of any work absences.
- Assist in keeping the facility attractive, clean, sanitary, and orderly throughout the day.
- Maintain a well sanitized and organized classroom.
- Be a team player and conduct oneself professionally.
- Attend monthly staff meetings and bi-annual in-services.
- Maintain confidentiality for all aspects of FLCC including and not limited to, employees, families, church, etc.
- Follow personnel policies. (Handbook)
- Maintain inventory of program supplies and equipment.
- Assist in incorporating the faith component into the daily lives of the students.
- Provide encouragement in a loving, caring, Christian manner to all students and families.
- Follow and implement center wide health policies.
- Open/close classrooms properly according to expectations.
- Remain open to additional job duties as assigned by Director and Program Coordinator in certain instances.
- Assist in maintaining the classroom budget
- Provide recommendations on quality improvements/program materials to Director
Requirements
