Assembly Process Engineer
Job Description
- Develop new assembly processes / tooling and oversees equipment startup for new programs.
- Develops / Designs assembly processes to meet customers/production needs.
- Creates process layouts that both maximize output and minimizes material handling.
- Supervise trial builds and documents information (cycle time, output, issues, etc.)
- Responsible for trial part quality and robot programming.
- Lead and participate in cost reduction activities such as cycle time reductions, operator reductions, and material flow improvements.
- Interaction with customers (internal / external) to resolve technical/quality issues and implements corrective actions.
- other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient with office software products
- Strong Multitasking Skills
- Motivated personality
Preferences
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Understanding of manufacturing processes
- Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus
- AutoCAD and SolidWorks experience
- 3 years’ experience in the automotive industry is preferred; but is not mandatory
