Now hiring for Shipping Clerk. Spherion of Connecticut currently has Shipping Clerk opportunities available to support our local, industry leading customer. Our Shipping Clerk will be working a first shift with limited required OT. The Shipping Clerk will support our customers in shipping department's operations, including material handling, packaging, and shipping procedures Mon thru Fri. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Learn all aspects of the shipping department's operations, including material handling, packaging, and shipping procedures.
Assist in packaging and labeling products for domestic and international shipments using FedEx and UPS.
Receive incoming shipments, inspecting them for accuracy and completeness, and recording relevant information.
Organize and maintain shipping and receiving records and documentation.
Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and on-time shipments.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.
Working hours: 6AM- 3:30PM; 3PM-12:30AM
Skills:
Basic computer skills.
Attention to detail.
Team player.
Downtime projects.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous shipping experience.
FedEx/UPS familiarity.
