Party Chief 1

We seek an experienced and highly skilled Survey Party Chief to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience in boundary surveys, topographic surveys, construction staking, mentoring and managing survey crews, ensuring the accurate collection of field data, and maintaining a high level of quality control for all survey projects.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage survey crews in the collection of field data for various types of survey projects, including boundary, topographic, and construction staking

- Train and mentor junior survey crew members, ensuring they are knowledgeable in the use of survey equipment and techniques

- Review and interpret project specifications, plans, and survey notes to ensure accurate data collection

- Perform quality control checks on field data, ensuring accuracy and completeness

- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure timely completion of survey projects

- Maintain and calibrate survey equipment, ensuring proper function and accuracy

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies

- Prepare daily field reports and maintain project documentation

Skills and Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in surveying, geomatics, or a related field is preferred

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role

- FAA (UAS Part 107) pilot license for operating drones a plus

- Proven experience in boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction stakingStrong knowledge of survey equipment, including GPS, total stations, and data collectors

- Proficient in the use of survey software, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center

- Excellent communication and leadership skills

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
