Job Description

Assists the Supervisor in the production of high-quality aircraft parts & assemblies following Piper Drawings, Process Specifications (PPS) and other manufacturing instructions. Assists in meeting or exceeding planned production and delivery schedules while maximizing company resources to achieve company goals.

Essential Job Functions: Performs or assists the Supervisor in the following tasks:

· Building aircraft subassemblies using different types of fasteners, drills, squeezes, rivet guns, bucking bars, countersinking, dimpling, etc.

· Inspect and buying off own work using Piper inspection certifications.

· Maintain compliance with Piper Quality Manual (QM) and FAA requirements.

· Rework all assembly discrepancies as necessary.

· Comply with all Safety, Environmental Protection, FOD and Tool Control, 5S and other assigned program requirements.

· Partner with senior teammates within career path to receive and share practical knowledge for proper training to perform necessary job functions and requirements in order to attain satisfactory levels of performance and production effectivity.

· Adhere and maintain all departmental compliance requirements such as Safety, Environmental Protection, FOD and Tool Control, 5S and other assigned programs.

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Related sheet metal assembly experience requirements:

o Sheet Metal Subassembler I: ≤ 2 years of experience

o Sheet Metal Subassembler II: 2 – 5 years of experience

o Senior Sheet Metal Subassembler: ≥ 5 years of experience

· Ability to work scheduled shift and hours, including overtime

· Ability to work with minimal supervision

· Use of hand and power tools as required

· Follow all safety procedures

· Ability to demonstrate sound judgement and effective communication skills (written and verbal).
