We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team. The Material Handler will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our facility. This role involves loading and unloading trucks, moving materials to designated areas, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate will have experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, as well as strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.


Responsibilities:


  • Load and unload trucks with incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Move materials to and from designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
  • Verify quantities and inspect materials for damage or defects.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through data entry and physical counts.
  • Organize and maintain storage areas to ensure efficient material flow.
  • Assist with inventory audits and cycle counts as needed.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to fulfill material requests and orders.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to management.

Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Material Handler or similar role.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely.
  • Basic math skills for counting and recording inventory.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines for material handling.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Working Hours: 6:00am-3:30pm
