Position Summary:
Our Assemblers learn to put together the mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic portions of our products. These range from relatively simple devices to complex units being shipped to leading manufacturing facilities world-wide.
Working both in teams and individually, the successful Assembly Team Member will already have basic mechanical, electrical and hydraulic skills and learn to apply those skills to increasingly complex devices as they gain experience. Organization, neatness and attention to quality details are requirements. Schlumpf Assemblers are the most important cog in Quality Control efforts, making certain that the products we ship are assembled carefully, are aesthetically pleasing, and work flawlessly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret CAD drawings, instructions and follow established procedures.
- Assemble complex mechanical and electrical assemblies.
- Take appropriate action to repair components and to ensure proper operation of equipment.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools
- Electrical, pneumatic and /or hydraulic skills a plus
- Package and load goods for shipping and assists with Shipping as needed
- Maintain compliance with standards for design, safety & quality
- Maintain knowledge of products and how they are assembled.
- Work closely with Senior Assembly Technicians to learn and help streamline the assembly process of our world-class equipment.
Qualifications:
- Experience in equipment assembly preferred
- Extensive mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
- Comfortable with hand tools
- Willingness to learn
- strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Attention to detail
- Valid driver's license
